When a Digital Technology Office was set-up in Cognizant, one of the main objectives was to create Digital Leaders throughout the workforce, irrespective of role or designation. While a Digital Leader needed to know how to make the most of the technological capabilities to drive innovation and transformation, one of the key asks was also to ensure that any new skills acquired were utilized in the day-to-day practice.
Recognizing that typical technical and behavioural training will be inadequate, Tiny Magiq worked with the team to identify and set up the right methods and training models necessary. We were able to design a blended learning program that used classic instructor-led boot camp in tandem with several Modern Workplace Learning tools and practices such as Guided Social Learning (Degreed), WhatsApp, a mobile app specially developed to deliver daily challenges, and a leaderboard. The program also built in the Group Mentorship model with Habit Formation and Gamification as key components.
As a result, 11 Digital Ideas that were created have moved to the next stage to be offered to customers and for internal funding. This Digital Leadership Program for EAS won the 2019 Brandon Hall Bronze Award for Best Unique Or Innovative Learning And Development Program.
